A Kibera court has handed down a 30-year prison sentence to a man accused of defiling his own five-year-old daughter. The accused, identified as PQ, was also found guilty of threatening to harm the young girl with a hammer if she disclosed the abuse to her mother.



Kibera Senior Principal Magistrate Charles Mwaniki presided over the case and delivered the sentencing after the prosecution successfully proved the charges against PQ. The court deemed the crime to have occurred on March 18 in the Ananda Maraga area of Kangemi, Dagoretti Sub-county.
